AUGUST QUEST KICK-OFF
Teams will race across Peoria solving clues and completing team challenges. This first team to complete all the challenges and get back wins a prize! The Amazing Race is Sunday, August 22nd, 2010 from 4:00-7:00 PM. Amazing Race Update: The winner of this year's Amazing Race was the Babbling Bobcats. Team members were Neill, Jazz, Kirsten, Kayleigh, and Cameron, and team leaders were Jerry and Stephanie. The teams had to solve clues and go to Chartwell Park to collect cans from the neighborhood, Grand Prairie Mall to collect promotional items from stores, Bradley Park to make some disc golf putts, Campus Town Shopping Center to find the exact menu price of several meals from surrounding restaurants, and back to the sanctuary to solve a riddle that had to be deciphered by looking up Bible verses. Each August we have a Quest Kick-Off event to get the year off to a fun and exciting start. Last year we began the year with a video scavenger hunt. Teams competed to get video of different things each having different point values. You can see a video clip of last year’s scavenger hunt below.
