Confirmation Class is for youth in 7th and 8th grade. The purpose of confirmation is to prepare a youth to make a personal decision to follow Christ and to become an active member of the church. This year, the confirmation class will meet on Sundays from 9:00 AM- 10:00 AM beginning on Sunday, September 12th. The class is led by Elders Cindy Shipley and Monica Paul using curriculum published by the PC(USA). Each confirmand has an adult sponsor who meets with them one Sunday a month and helps them with their confirmation assignments. Confirmands will be responsible for mission hours, memorizing specific Bible verses, and church liturgy. There is a confirmation retreat in the spring each year. Confirmation culminates on Pentecost Sunday of a youth’s eighth grade year when they are confirmed as full members of the church on Sunday morning.
