YOUNG ADULT MISSION TRIP
In April 2010, we went to Chicago to serve through the Center For Student Missions. We took a prayer tour of the city and learned about the difficulties facing individuals in different neighborhoods. We also worked at a food pantry, served lunch at a soup kitchen, and walked the streets in order to make connections with the people there and meet one of their needs. Each year young adults from UPC go on a weekend mission trip to serve together. This is a great opportunity to build community, learn about issues of poverty, disaster assistance, and other needs, and put our faith into action. Cost for the trip is relatively low ($30-$50) because some of the costs are offset by the mission committee.
