Crittenton Centers

The Mission of the Month in June was the Crittenton Center. Crittenton Centers strives to decrease the number of children who become victims of violence, abuse, or neglect.  The Center empowers families to provide a nurturing environment for their children.

The Crisis Nursery Center offers short-term emergency parenting breaks for families and children at risk of abuse and/or neglect for families suffering from stress, homelessness, medical emergencies, etc.  Temporary childcare services are available for children ages birth through six years, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  The Children’s Corner Child Development Center has full range childcare services for ages six weeks through six years.
Crittenton also offers various family service programs, focusing on protecting and nurturing families by providing education and support to families in need.  Some of the services offered include parenting programs, parental education, adult support groups, and children’s groups.  All programs are free of charge.  The Mission Committee donated $1,000 to the Crittenton Center and the congregation supplied much needed infant care items for the summer.
