FOOD PANTRY AND FOOD ON THE FOURTH

United Presbyterian collects food all year and distributes it to local food pantries.  Each month we take the food to either Common Place, Westminster Food Pantry, Southside Mission, or Friendship House.  Each month we encourage donations of specific items, though all nonperishable food items are accepted.  You can bring in food any time the church is open.  The food pantry collection area is right across from the offices in the lobby.

You are invited to bring a small canned or boxed food item (or two) to church with you on the fourth Sunday of every month.  Instead of taking it directly to our food pantry area, please bring it into the 9:00 am service with you.  During our Time For Young Disciples you will be invited to hold your food up.  The children will collect all the food and bring it to the front of the church.  This is a way for our children to get involved in church and mission and a helpful way for us to remember to bring food for the pantry. If you forget to bring food you can purchase cans from the children before the service.
