Annual Lincoln Lectures
In association with Illinois Central College, our church was privileged to host two high-quality programs titled “Lincoln Lectures” in June, in celebration of Lincoln’s bicentennial. On Monday, June 8th at 7:00 pm, Jason Emerson, celebrated national Lincoln scholar, presented “The Madness of Mary Lincoln”. On Tuesday, June 9th at 8:00 am, we hosted a breakfast double-presentation by Jason Emerson on the topics of “Lincoln the Inventor” and “Giant in the Shadows: The Life of Robert Todd Lincoln”. Both events were very well attended and enjoyed by Lincoln enthusiasts and those just curious to learn more across central Illinois. This was the second year we have partnered with ICC to bring "Lincoln Lectures" to central Illinois and we look forward to providing exciting new programs next year.
