PARISH NURSINGParish Nursing has been a part of United Presbyterian Church since 1996 and has continued to deepen and grow to become a vital part of the member care ministry in the congregation. Some of the duties and responsibilities of the parish nurse include: regular visitation to local hospitals, homes and nursing homes, coordinating health services with local providers for members, serving as a liaison to local resources, advocacy on behalf of church members, coordinating volunteers, health educator, conducting routine health screenings and providing health related programs, to name a few. Judy Custer, RN joined United Presbyterian Church at the beginning of 2011 as our new Parish Nurse.
