The Health and Wellness Committee is a sub-committee of the Member Care Committee that works to enhance the well-being of UPC members and friends in the community. Health and Wellness sponsors seminars, services, classes, and events to educate and provide resources for healthy living. Some of the regular Health and Wellness activities our blood pressure screenings, blood drives, and the Lunch N Learn Series. LUNCH 'N' LEARN We are now beginning our 5th year of Lunch ‘n’ Learn programming for United Presbyterian Church. This is an outreach effort by the Health/Wellness Committee to the greater Peoria community to “take a break from your daily routine and learn about various subjects and issues”. A wide variety of topics such as Art, Travel, Health, Spirituality, Technology, Nutrition and Medicine are offered on a monthly basis on the second Tuesday of each month from Noon-1:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.

BLOOD PRESSURE SCREENINGS The Health and Wellness Committee sponsors blood pressure screenings on the first Sunday of the month from 8:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. in the Fellowship Hall. Health professionals are on hand to take your blood pressure and record it to help you keep track of your blood pressure from month to month. No appointments are necessary.
