PASTORAL CARE AND COUNSELINGPastoral care is offered by United Presbyterian Church to all those who are in need of someone to talk to, pray with, or just sit with. Hospital visits are made every day by either Rev. Saxon, Rev. McKinney-Whitaker, or Mary Peifer, our Parish Nurse. They offer support for those who are sick, or having surgery, and offer care to their families. We assist families with funeral arrangements and provide support and encouragement through the grieving process. Assistance is also given to couples in preparing and conducting their wedding ceremony. Home visitations are also made to shut-ins, the sick, and the lonely as needs are made known. Prayer is also an important part of pastoral care and we are always willing to pray for you and with you. If you have a prayer request you would like the church to pray for please call the church office to speak a staff member or speak to an Elder, Deacon, or Stephen Minister. If you are in need of pastoral counseling please call the church office in order to schedule an appointment. Pastoral Counseling is offered to individuals facing crises and problems in their lives, couples who are experiencing difficulties in their relationship, premarital counseling for couples who are preparing for marriage, and for other life challenges individuals or families may face.
