SEWING AND KNITTING MINISTRY

We have many talented individuals in the church who love to knit, quilt, and sew.  They use their talents to serve others and as a chance to fellowship with others.

Quilting: Every Tuesday morning in the sewing room at UPC a group of dedicated women meet to quilt.  The quilts are raffled off and the proceeds help local charities.

Layette Items: A group meets every Friday in the sewing room to sew baby items to be donated to local hospitals for preemie and newborn babies.

Anyone interested in sewing, quilting, cutting, or helping in any way is welcome to join the groups on Tuesday or Friday. There is also opportunity for knitters.  Prayer Shawls are made and distributed to those needing a little extra tender loving care.  Crafted with prayer and knitting, all are a work of art. Patterns for the shawl may be picked up in the church office. Some shawls are on display in the Fellowship Hall.  We also have knitting groups who meet at the church regularly.  For more information contact the church office.
